I'll be the first to admit that I struggle finding humor in most popular comedies but was truly looking forward to The Hangover. While it is funny in parts, I can't wholeheartedly say it is as good as most people seem to think it is. It is smarter than a lot of comedies and the movie's structure worked well, but I couldn't work up any sympathy for the four leads-just another bunch of idiots getting smashed in Vegas. I was not expecting great but was somewhat disappointed by what I got.

I thought it was pretty funny myself, but I understand your point about the getting smashed part.

As far as comedies go, I think I liked The Ugly Truth better.

What is weird is I had to defend my stance on The Hangover just last night as the people we were visiting heard that I 'hated' it and they thought it was the funniest movie they'd seen in years.
