I just got back from a theatre. I saw "G.I. Joe:The Rise of Cobra". It was one entertainment summer movie.

Well, actually I didn't have high expectations. I was NOT G.I.Joe fan when I was a kid. I didn't know much about G.I. Joe. But the movie was okay and I enjoyed it. Action and SFX were magnificent. Some scenes reminded me of TEAM AMERICA. Big Grin

Star Wars(I,II,III) + Team America + The Mummy Returns + Transformers + Black Hawk Down + OO7 series = G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra. Need I say more? :p

Every where you look, this movie is being pushed. It looks like just a smash/bang movie. I'm debating waiting for Netflix.

Hey, thanks for reminding me this was out, Kenji; I almost forgot! I will go see it this weekend.
I definitely gotta get myself one of those vehicles like the one the Baroness was driving at the end of the preview. It might be useful in dealing with rush hour traffic, you know...Wink

I'll see it in a few days as well. But I can't help but feeling somewhat annoyed that as I watch the trailers/ previews that I only recognize three characters. Storm Shadow, Snake Eyes and the Baroness. But having everyone dressed up like the toys would have been like the X-Men movies having Wolverine wear yellow spandex and Cyclops in a blue unitard.

I'll admit it, I was hesitant to see this one. I didn't think I would enjoy the film, but I did. We had a good time. And the theater was packed.

Lots of explosions, cool excellerant suits, weapons, basically everything you could want in a GI Joe movie. Some really well choreographed fight scenes with Snake Eyes and Storm Shadow. And a cat fight with the Baroness and Scarlett. It didn't hurt that they were in skin tight leathers either. Big Grin

I did hear one rumor about the movie, live ammo was used in most of the scenes. Wonder if that's true?

Well other than the fact that the movie volume was ridiculously low, a kid with a fro was sitting in front of me, kids behind me were repeatedly kicking my seat, and someone decided to bring their fussy toddler, I enjoyed the movie. Lots of non-stop crazy action, especially with the cybernetic power suits trying to chase down the Baroness.
