I just got hooked on to Dexter it's a great show on Showtime and if you have shotime on cable they have all 3 seasons on On Demand right now to watch.

For Sci-fi Eureka is a pretty good show. Nothing really special but I enjoy watching it.

Not real sure on movies. I haven't watched too many lately.

Try SAHARA, starring Bogart. And Charles Chaplin's masterpiece CITY LIGHTS. Wonderful, mighty flicks, antony. And in both cases, I guarantee you will never forget the ending.

The obvious sci fi/drama choice has to be Lost. I just watched all 5 seasons in 4 weeks.
Also in the sci fi/drama category is Fringe. The first 7-9 episodes are a little bit slow and freak-of-the-week-ish, but then it starts to get really good.

In the comedy category I would start with The Big Bang Theory. FPW actually got me into it after I read his Tweet about it being a great show.

For TV/movie combo, I highly recommend Firefly (Joss Whedon) and the movie sequel that ties up the plot lines (for the most part), Serenity.
