bones weep tedium Wrote:I liked the first X-Men movie, was thoroughly unimpressed with X-Men 2 and haven't even bothered watching X-Men 3 yet.

Then don't bother.

Even people who are not hardcore fanboys from back in the 70s (and therefore do not know how badly Ratner botched the Dark Peoenix saga) have told me that they thought X-3 was a train-wreck from start to finish.

Axioms Jack seems to live by (inadvertantly or not):

Why he does what he does: "I chose this life. I know what I'm doing. And on any given day, I could stop doing it. Today, however, isn't that day. And tomorrow won't be either." Bruce Wayne, Identity Crisis

On Rasalom: "Water's wet, the sky is blue...and good old Satan Claus, Jimmy...he's out there...and he's just gettin' stronger." Joe Hallenbeck, The Last Boyscout

The music wasn't bad at all. Wonder who composed it?

Do any Marvel fans amongst the gang recall when Logan (that's what I call him, he calls me "Mike") was made "sane" by Loki?

I thought the movie was so-so. Best news I've heard is that a Deadpool spinoff is confirmed. So no RJ movie until after Deadpool. I just hope that it's at least concurrent with Deadpool's storyline in this one. I don't care for what they did with him by the end.

That was my biggest complaint about the movie. I liked the first half of it had nice action and seemed cool and fun. Second half I didn't really enjoy at all. Thought they did a horrible with Gambit and the later parts of Deadpool. If anyone else is fan of Mortal Kombat (game or movies) sence when is deadpool turned into a rip-off of Barraka? lol

"Sanity? Worthless things like that, I never had them for as long as I can remember!"

Today was a 2 movie day for me. Big Grin
I liked Wolverine, alot. Mind you, I didn't read any of the comics or stories...I just enjoy a good fantasy film.....and I liked the action as well as the characters. Oh....one other thing....I want Sabre-tooth's leather coat!! Big Grin
Also got to see Ryan Reynolds in action again as Deadpool....nice.

Wolverine was alright by me. I read some where, that Wolverine was seen as emo in this movie, I don't see it. Hey, that's me. The only complaint I have is that Gambit was just there, not very utilized as a character. I'll look forward to the sequels, I'm sure they will be along.

HATED what they did to Deadpool. He's one of my favorite Marvel characters. This was a travesty.

Didn't like what they did to Deadpool, but I did enjoy his character.
Especially at the end when Deadpool grabs his head, looks at the audience (breaks the fourth wall) and tell them/us to "shhhh...." I thought that was awesome.
