That's just cruel. Your friend introduced you to a series by having you read the last book chronologically. Anyway, Nightworld is the last book in The Secret History of the World which goes like this:
The Past:
Year Zero Minus Three:
Year Zero Minus Two:
Year Zero Minus One:
Year Zero:
- "Pelts"*
- REPRISAL (ends in February) (reprint scheduled for 2011)
- FATAL ERROR (February) (includes "The Wringer")
- THE DARK AT THE END (March) (the last Repairman Jack novel) (to be published 2011)
- NIGHTWORLD (starts in May) (revision scheduled for 2012)
All the new Repairman Jack novels loop out from
The Tomb and will weave their way back toward
Nightworld.
The main line of the Repairman Jack series (not counting the young adult titles) will total 15.
The Secret History will end with the publication of a heavily revised
Nightworld.

The Touch
But don't stop there. There are plenty of other excellent books written by the Man.
