I want to see a Jack/Sherlock Holmes book.

"Lord, what fools these mortals be"

"The opposite of war isn't peace; it's creation."

You'd think that Killing people would make them like you, but it doesn't! it just makes people dead.

Well, dadburnit, Libby, I had the same ah-deer! This was before you joined the gang. My post was something corny like,

Holmes--that man there. I cannot explain it, but I sense violence about him. A willingness to kill. Perhaps, sometimes an eagerness.

I sense that too, Watson. But I also sense he would never harm an innocent. Never an innocent. Come with me, old friend. I expect an interesting conversation with that fellow. You have your revolver, Watson?

As always, Holmes.

Good old Watson! But it would be strange if it were needed with...what did she call him? "Jack?"

I keep thinking Monk and Jack. Similar situation. And just think of the fun Jack would have with Randy Disher

Kinda surprised I didn't see this one, but I'd love to see Jack go up against or team up with Jack Reacher, from Lee Child's novels. They have some pretty strong similarities (living off the grid, following a self-defined code, a bit of a violent streak, etc.) but some really interesting differences as well (Reacher is more nomadic, much more conspicuous, more grounded in the worldly rather than the other-worldly). Might make for a very interesting story.

Mommy! MOMMY! I'm burning!
Tommy Gavin: Hey! You're not going in there!
Jack: I know the building. You wanna talk or you wanna move?
Tommy Gavin: I don't know why I'm trusting you...
DADDY! DADDY!
Tommy Gavin: WE'RE COMING, BABY!

I think it was mentioned before along with John Rain since Barry Eisler and Lee Child are friends and now that Barry and FPW have planted their flag, so to speak, at Romantic Times.
