Has anybody else passed through the frantic anticipation stage, and entered the apathetic "meh, there's not gonna be a press release/repairman jack movie anyway' stage yet?

I know I have. Sad

Here, I'll prove it: Someone ask me if I'm looking forward to the press realease/repairman jack movie.

Go on, ask me :p

I accidentally dropped a load of worthless change in the street. I was going to just leave it there but a burly policeman lumbered towards me and said, "You'd better pick that up, son."

I hate coppers.

I hit that point about 7 years ago. 7 years and 6 months after I first heard there was going to be a Repairman Jack movie.

It's funny you should ask me that, Dave. I suppose that my off-the-cuff response would have to be:

Meh.

There won't be a press release, not this week, not next week, not any week.

Same goes for Repairman Jack movies. Sad

I'm actually at the point of, "Oh, come ON already." How frickin hard is it to have some type:

Beacon Films is pleased to announce that (someone) has been cast as the title character in Repairman Jack, a film based on the novel The Tomb by the bestest author in the whole wide world, F. Paul Wilson.

How many vikings does it take to change a light bulb?

None. The light from the burning monastery is more than sufficient.

May the Norse be with you.

But who will it be?

This must be the longest run we have had without some wild speculation

I am fed up of typing Repairman Jack into Empire's search engine & getting endless Jack Black news pages

I am all of the above at different points in time.

I saved a couple of film industry news pages as favorites and I keep checking them. Recently, I have learned that Jon Stewart will host the Oscars again this year, Elizabeth Allen is going to direct 'Ramona' - based on the childrens' book series, and the new movie directed by Ben Affleck is not going to be released in the U.K. because of similarities to a real missing child case.

*sigh*

My money is on Ryan Reynolds or Nathan Fillion. But that's probably just wishful thinking. :p
