Just now I saw "Soldaat van Oranje" on DVD. It was brilliant! It's Paul Verhoeven's WW II movie like "Zwartboek".

In 1938, Erik, Guus, Alex, Nico, Jan, Rob and Jacgues go together in university and become the friends. When Nazis occupy The Netherlands, the friends have different lives...

Basically, we are apt to talk about weapons or bombing scenes in war movies. But this "Soldaat van Oranje" is about activities of resistance. First, they were friend. But someone become a soldier. Someone become a betrayer. Someone become an enemy. Through 148 min, everybody's lives change because of war.

Thrilling and suspense! And, an most excellent factor is Rutgar Hauer. I think this is his best movie ever except for "Hitcher"! If you're Rutgar Hauer fan, don't pass over this movie!
