If you like animation you should definitely check out Tsui Hark's A Chinese Ghost Story. It is a non-stop visual feast, combining animation with CGI, that also provides a little mental meat to gnaw on. It is also kid friendly.

I saw it. It was pretty good, but part 2 and part 3 were not so good.
