Just watched a couple of flicks that feature H20 as a main character: The Guardian and Beneath Still Waters. Both are solid efforts for what they are.
The Guardian is a paint-it-by-the-numbers thrillama that delivers solid acting and production in a Coast Guard remake of an An Officer and A Gentleman. I thought the schooling was interesting and the action sequences were exciting, though not quite edge of your seat.
Beneath Still Waters is the B-movie adaptation of Matthew Costello's excellent book. It has been years since I read it, but it seemed fairly true the story as I remember it. It suffers a bit from its budget, but there is plenty of good gore to satisfy fans of low budget horror.
