Kenji Wrote:Just now I watched "Masked and Anonymous". I'm sure Bluesman Mike will love this movie! This movie was made for Bob Dylan fan. Well, but it's not only for his fan. For all music fan, too.
In near future, in a dictatorship nation, one man went free from jail. His name is Jack Fate. He is musician. His manager, Uncle Sweethart have a plan for charity concert. So Sweethart invited him to concert. But......
Bob Dylan played Jack Fate, of course. As I said, this is Bob Dylan's movie. He is main character. But other casting were also great. Jeff Bridges, Penelope Cruz, John Goodman, Jessica Lange, Luke Wilson, Val Kilmer, Mickey Rourke, Cristian Slater & Chris Pen(from True Romance?), and Ed Harris! I think they are Bob Dylan's fan.
If you realized who's Ed Harris, you are awesome.
Bluesman Mike, if you haven't seen it yet, check it! It won't disappoint you.
Bluesman Mike Lindner Wrote:Yeah, Kenji, I did see it. I was left bemused and confused, pounded and surrounded. Did I mention confounded? I've seen all of Dylan's flicks, DON'T LOOK BACK, EAT THE DOCUMENT, RENALDO AND CLARA, the one in the 80s whose title escapades me, and maybe more whose names are subject to Federal law. None of them made any sense except DON'T LOOK BACK. Which made no sense at all.
Kenji Wrote:Ah.....sorry for you. I've never seen DON'T LOOK BACK, EAT THE DOCUMENT, RENALDO AND CLARA, so I can't comment about them. But I enjoyed "Masked and Anonymous" myself.
Bluesman Mike Lindner Wrote:I enjoyed it too, Kenji. Don't get me wrong. My view is Bob Dylan's the greatest songwriter ever to draw breath . But his film projects...well, let's say =eccentric."
Kenji Wrote:Hmm.....well, yeah. But Bob Dylan was not eccentric. Ed Harris was too eccentric.
