Has anyone since this odd film? Can anyone tell me why it was made? Didn't like it and can't recommend it.

Years ago my mother used to say to me... "In this world, Elwood, you can be oh so smart or oh so pleasant."
Well, for years I was smart.
I recommend pleasant.

I dunno why it was made.....these days, Hollywood is making too many 3-D CG animation movies. I tired of them. That's why "A Scanner Darkly" looked very original to me.

It's that bad? Dancing penguins was bad?! That makes me sad. Sad

How many vikings does it take to change a light bulb?

None. The light from the burning monastery is more than sufficient.

May the Norse be with you.

I think dancing penguins are cute. Wink

But it's 3-D CG animations. It's nothing new.

Penquins are cute. It was the holidays. Parents and grandparents with young children love to take them to the movies. "Happy Feet" came out the same week as Casino Royale and beat it every single week at the box-office.

Movies for kids at Christmas?

No-brainer.

The dancing was cute for about 3 minutes. It is not easy to execute the intricasies of tap dancing in animation, especially a penguin whose legs are constrained. It just wasn't impressive.

The singing was not great. The complete concept was weak and just not well done, lame really. If you saw "The March of the Penguins," well, why bother with this. The Latino penguins, however, were hilarious, led by Robin Williams. But they cannot hold the whole film. WEAK.

Ah, I see. That's actually what I was kind of afraid of, and that's why I haven't seen it yet. Too bad really, I love penguins. :\

Tell you what, wait until it comes to cable and catch a gander. In bits and pieces it may be tolerable.

What's the mystery? Yet another chunk of King Penguin's monstrous plot.
