Kenji Wrote:Yesterday I saw "16 Blocks", and it was pretty good.
"16 Blocks" is action thriller that Bruce Willis as Jack Mosley, a broken down NY detective assigned to escort a petty criminal , Eddie(Mos Def) from the precinct to the courthouse. It was simple 16 block journey, but when Jack's ex-partners attempted to stop them, everything changed.
At first I thought this is remake of "The Gauntlet". But it was a little bit different. It's the story of how two men change each other during a tense 110 minute struggle between life and death.
One problem was Mos Def. His chit-chat annoyed me. 98% prattle, 2% serious. But that 2% was good.

He's a good actor, but I could have done without that voice. I'd guess he was supposed to be annoying. Bruce Willis' character was constantly saying how a bad guy couldn't change, even though he was a bad guy and was changing by saving MD.
Kenji Wrote:... 98% prattle...Kenji, that's a great word to use in this situation. Your English is improving by leaps and bounds. Well done, Kenji! Would that I could speak or write another language as well as you do English.
