I posted the links to these auctions on this site and got a lot of encouragement from many forum contributors. One of the buyers paid for the book and let me keep it. Jack fans are the best. After a year and a couple doctor's appointments later I am proud to announce that my wife is pregnant and we will be naming the child Jack if it's a boy. I think the first book I will read to him(I am hoping for a boy)will be the new young adult Jack books. Every child needs to know his roots, right? Just wanted to say thanks again.

Very cool. Congrats to you and your wife.

Let us know when baby Jack arrives.

Or baby Gia.

Either way, do let us know!

Congrads - and maybe if you are hard up again, we could persuade fpw to hold an auction for our name to be in the next book (or a name of our choice...)... we raised a fair amount of money that way on another BB - and it was great fun, too!

Best to you both, and to young Jack/Jackie/Gia ????
