These days, I was watching classic movies on DVD. "The Last Man on Earth" and "The Day of the Triffids".
"The Last Man on Earth" is original story "I Am Legend" by Richard Matheson, and I liked both of book and movie. I think it's better tham "The Omega Man".
"The Day of the Triffids" is original story by John Wyndham. Both movies are very old but still they are good stuff. In "The Last Man on Earth", Vincent Price is a little bit old for Robert Neville, but his acting is pretty good.

But now, I found two classic films bad remade. I can't believe it.......Will Smith is Robert Neville?

The Incredible Shrinking Man: Directed by Keenen Ivory Wayans? Oh, no!

Yeah Kenji I am with you on "The Last Man on Earth" I enjoyed it much more then "Omega Man" and thought it was much more faithful to the book.

If you think its bad that Will Smith is playing that part now, it was originally supposed to be Ahnold the Governator.

I feel like this, no matter who they get to play the part they are going to make an awful remake of a movie rather then a movie about the book. Hollywood seems to have the remake and make it worse thing down to a science.

With the exception of King Kong I am drawing a blank on any remakes in the recent past that could even hold a candle to the original.
