I think it was my fault. I was in North Carolina for my Son's graduation (Arthur Laurents was the speaker). Bad things often happen when I leave the NY area, including:
9/11/2001 - Grand Canyon.
The black out a few years ago - Glacier National Park.
When the kids were little, we got the last flight out of ISLIP before the area was dumped with a blizzard.
Hurricane Bob - Los Alamos.
There are other lesser incidents, so it may well be my influence. But then I've never denied having connections with Mr. S.

You really only need three things: WD-40, Duct Tape, and a pointy stick. If it's supposed to move and doesn't, use the WD-40. If it moves and isn't supposed to, use the Duct Tape. If you want it to move and it doesn't want to, use the pointy stick. The rest of life is easy.

Wow. You also might look at it as some Higher Power watching over you.

It's your old friend Sauron awakened from his long slumber.

Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

I also happen to have photos of a rather wet FPW. When he was in Madison last November he was kind enough to join us for dinner and I walked him around downtown for a few blocks in the pouring rain! He was a very good sport about it!

Oh man, it was raining that night!!!

Funnily (nod to Lisa), I discovered a couple days later that I had had an umbrella and (rain)coat in my trunk. Who'd'a known?!?! Big Grin

The most merciful thing in the world, I think, is the inability of the human mind to correlate all its contents. ... The piecing together of dissociated knowledge will open up such terrifying vistas of reality, and of our frightful position therein, that we shall either go mad from the revelation or flee from the light into the peace and safety of a new dark age.

Stacy, I absolutely LOVE the look on Paul's face as he poses with his arm around your very pretty mom.Big Grin

Reading is freedom.
The mind soars, no earthly cares,
no limitations.

Years ago my mother used to say to me... "In this world, Elwood, you can be oh so smart or oh so pleasant."
Well, for years I was smart.
I recommend pleasant.
You may quote me.

LOL, after that weekend he mentioned in a post that she was snappy looking or something like that. Crack me up! That's my mom!
