Hello All,
My name is John and I was first introduced to F. Paul Wilson this past summer. I picked up Midnight Mass at a local store and could not put it down. Since I finished that my wife bought me all of the Repairman Jack novels she could find me on Amazon. So far Ive read: Conspiracies, All The Rage, Hosts, The Hanted Air and I have just started Legacies. Im still waiting for The Tomb... I know, I read them all out of order! It doenst matter to me though, because I have enjoyed these books immensely. My question about a possible story cross reference is as follows: POSSIBLE SPOILERS

In the novel The Haunted Air, Tara mentions towards the end of the book that the Tau crosses that line the mysterious stones werent from a church, but mor of a prison. At the end of my paperback version of The Haunted Air, there is a teaser for Midnight Mass... My question is could there be a tie between the two? Is F. Paul hinting the crosses were a prison for a vampire(s)? Now the crosses have been removed the vampire(s) can be freed to start their world domination? Or am I just reading into this waaaay too much? In any event, I have loved all of these books, and if Dr. Wilson reads these messages, you're the man! Keep 'em coming!!! Thank you.

Your assumption is incorrect, but you are on the right track. Read The Keep and all will be made clear. The Keep is not an RJ novel, but is part of the Adversary Cycle, as are The Tomb and Nightworld (both of which do feature RJ). The Adversary Cycle, in order of publication, is:

1. The Keep
2. The Tomb (aka Rakoshi)
3. The Touch
4. Reborn
5. Reprisal
6. Nightworld

Oh, and welcome aboard. You'll like it here!

You definatley have a link, but you need to read "The Keep" like Biggles said. I don't want to spoil it for you so I'll stop there.

BTW, catching the links is one of the best parts of FPW's books for me. Welcome to the board!

Welcome JK!
You'll find much to discuss and ponder over here. Listen to the guys, read the Adversary series. You'll learn much there.

Welcome! I echo what Biggles, KRW and Cobalt have said. I'll add that not only are there cross references in the RJ series and the Adversary Cycle, but FPW's non-RJ books also have links to one another. It's great fun to try and connect the dots.

Read "Deep As the Marrow." It is my favorite non-RJ book and has the world's most wonderful heroine. Poppy is my hero. When I grow up, I'd like to be like her.

Enjoy, you've got lots 'o FPW to catch up on!

First of all, welcome to the board, John!

Well, what I wanted to say were everybody's said. So, from me for you I say "Read other FPW's novels. I recommend 'Black Wind' and 'Sibs'. "
