Just bought seasons 1 and 2 at Wal-Mart for $20 each. Any fans of this show better hurry before they sell out. Great price for full season dvds. Unfortunately I haven't been able to watch any of the new season because I moved to an area without cable service, and satellite wants a 1 year contract. I don't plan on living here that long so I'm stuck with antenna channels for at least 6 months (my lease term). I feel so primitive. Rolleyes

Thanks for the heads-up. I hope the Southern California Wal-Marts are carrying them. I last left off watching the show when that nerdy detective strangled a cat. Damn, what a shocker. But this whole series has one shocker after another.

Thanks for the heads up, but the only season I need is last years...waiting for that to go down in price. This is consistantly the best show on television, and last weeks premier was great. I especially liked Forrest Whitteker(sp?).

The Shield is one of the few T.V. shows that I work my life around. At 10:00 on Tues. nite I have my butt glued to the edge of my seat and drink in the mayhem that Vic Mackie dishes out.

:p A good horror story will keep you up at night

Sigh, another season done with. This is the one tv show that I watch religously. I don't think I've ever been sucked into and then addicted to another tv show like I have with The Shield.

I've spent most of this season asking "Is this the end?" Well, after last night, I know there is more to come and find myself begging for the next season to start.

Whitaker was amazing on this season, and at the same time, his character made me hate him (now that's great acting). He always seemed to be the lovable actor until I saw him on The Shield.

I think next year is going to be very interesting. I've always felt that Lem was Vic's moral compass. I can say I will miss Lem.

There's 11 more episodes airing in January. After that? Who knows. FX has not committed to another year yet.

This is hands down the best show on TV and deserves a big budget increase. The writing is consistantly superior to anything else, and I would love to see a full blown season of more than 11 or 15 episodes.

Glad to see that other people appreciate this show. It seems (with this board anyway) that if a show (or book, movie, whatever) takes place anywhere other than NYC, it gets snubbed with that arrogant NY attitude. I suppose I have to put an exception in for Bareback Mountain, of course. Those New Yorkers sure love their gay cowboys (I hear the Village People are planning a comeback tour which should make a few members here very excited!)

Whittaker was amazing. Any word if he will be back in January?

I hear maybe for one episode to wrap things up? Nothing definite though. Rumors persist that next year is it for the show, but who knows.

Rumor I heard was that they told the writers to write half the season for now and leave the second half open until they know more. I really hope that it will continue on.

I think that was for this last season, which was supposed to be 21 episodes. They split production (11 episodes to air in Jan06 / 10 in Jan07) to allow Chiklis to film Fantastic Four and decided to air them as seperate seasons.

As far as I know those 10 episodes have already been filmed and will definetely air next year.
