Spoiler in Hosts

I just re-read "Hosts", and I noticed one thing. Sandy Palmer(sp?) made Jack's montage pictures in his newspaper office, and he used "Identity Kit 2000". After he made Jack's montage, he didn't delete the file and saved it as GPM. So, as a result....I think Jack's montage picture was left in a office's PC. I'm sure this is Jack's identity. I think someday someone find this file, and someone try to search Jack.

I think this is BIG problem for Jack.

Kenji, I don't know if you've read Crisscross, so I won't give any details, but Jack has a similar (perhaps worse) problem in that book as well.

You really only need three things: WD-40, Duct Tape, and a pointy stick. If it's supposed to move and doesn't, use the WD-40. If it moves and isn't supposed to, use the Duct Tape. If you want it to move and it doesn't want to, use the pointy stick. The rest of life is easy.

I read Crisscross, but I didn't recognize the worse problem. What was that?

Jack's fine because he was labeled a GPM, no conection to the savior. He's basically a face in a computer with no connections. Probably the same with Criss Cross, no real identaty for any cross referance. He's still a shadow.

Jack is still an unrecognizable entity with no origins. Unless he uses those ID's again, that would be the only link. By now he's moved onto the next letter of the alphabet.

Ah...that made sense to me. Thanks.

No problem Kenji, I just hope I'm right. If I'm wrong, Jack could be in for a bad time.

Yeah, sure. But we want to read Jack's close call. Jack vs. Rakosh, Jack vs. Sal Roma, Jack vs. Serbian mafia, Jack vs. virus....and Tara Portman, Semelee, Dormentalists, Lilitongue. We're enjoying Jack's bad time. So, someday Jack's identity will.......well, the future is unknown.

I kind of missed your followup post, but since you've read Crisscross, here's what I meant:

MAJOR CRISSCROSS SPOLIERS......
.
.
.
.
.

.
.
.
.
.
.
.
. That ought to be enough...
.
Jack's photo is left on the Dormentalists' computer. Now that's not so bad, since they must have thousands of them. But, the Dormentalists' leader (old what's his name) is in prison by Jack's actions. He knows it was Jack that framed him. If I were him, I'd have my loyal henchmen find the photo, then be on the lookout for Jack. Or just expose Jack to the public or the IRS!

I kept expecting Jack to mess up the Dormentalists' computer before the end of the story, but he never gets around to it.

Ah! That's it! I remembered it. Thanks. Smile
