Yesterday, I saw three movies in theaters. One of them was "Elizabethtown", directed by Cameron Crowe. His previous movie, "Almost Famous" is my favorite one. And this "Elizabethtown" is also very wonderful. Drew go back to his hometown for his father's funeral. He failed his business and he lost everything, but he meet lovely flight attendant, Claire. And he meet very tender people in town, then his heart healed by them.......Well, I don't talk too much. If you like road trip movie, check it out. Beautiful scenery, wonderful songs & music, Tom Petty&Heartbreakers, Elton John, Linsey Buckingham, Nancy Wilson, The Hollies.......nuff said.

I loved Elizabethtown: Quirky characters, great dialogue, balance of happy/sad scenes (this could easily have been overdone). My girlfriend tells me that David Letterman made fun of this movie because it seemed too much like other movies. I disagree. It was fun and funny, laughter through tears.

AC

P.S. The movie (title eludes me) with Cameron Diaz and Shirley Maclaine is also very good in this sad/funny kind of way.

Yeah, I agree! Quirky character, especially, Susan Sarandon was funny! Her tap-dance had worth to see. Big Grin

saynomore! Did you see that movie, too?

As I said first, "I saw three movies in theaters", I saw Elizabethtown, Dark Water, and "In Her Shoes". You mentioned this one, right? That was very good.
