Lost! - Medusa - 10-12-2005 This was an awesome episode! I can't wait until next weeks! Lost! - fpw - 10-13-2005 Medusa Wrote:This was an awesome episode! I can't wait until next weeks!Ditto. I'm blown away by the complexity. I love stuff like this. Do you know they've even put up a Hanso Foundation website? http://www.thehansofoundation.org/ Mary and I are addicted. We Tivo it but start watching about 9:30 so we can zap the commercials. It's a much smoother experience and cuts viewing time to 45 minutes. It, too, started out with complexity and mystery, and was nearly as riveting (to me) as "Lost". But, through five seasons of writer changes, cast changes, etc., it simply became more and more muddled and riddled with contradictions. The last season was an unwatchable non-sequitur, and the show never answered many of the questions it raised. (E:FC basically got lost. ) I hope the producers of "Lost" have a tighter grip on what they're doing and a solid plan to get us through the story. I would really, really hate to be disappointed as the series goes on. So far, though, I must say that this season looks even better than the first. It's astounding how they can reveal so much information in each episode, yet leave us knowing less than we did before. Look at the training film: It explained a lot but hinted at so much more. I understand they have a 6-year plan. Lost! - DaveStrorm - 10-13-2005 fpw Wrote:Ditto. I'm blown away by the complexity. Lost! - neotank - 10-13-2005 I thought the flashback parts were a little lacking and didn't give away anything new. I also got a little anoyed with the new tough girl character. But as always it was still one of the best hours on TV. Lost! - Lisa - 10-13-2005 Lost is a terrific show. Right now I'm addicted to it, along with reruns of The X-Files. I love shows with multiple plotlines and characters to keep track of. Episodic series are just not as much fun, IMO. Not saying they can't be outstanding as well--just not as much FUN. Lost! - Medusa - 10-14-2005 And if anyone missed last night's episode they are replaying it Saturday night! And I think you can pay $1.99 for each episode via iTunes at Apple to watch on your iPod. I confess I have never seen an episode of Lost, except for the last 15 minutes of the one discussed here, so I can't comment. Looks like I need to invest in renting last year on DVD and maybe some TiVo like interface, as I'm not around when the shows air. The DVD set is a wonderful introduction -- without commercials the episodes run 45 min apiece and carry you along at breakneck speed. |
