Hilarious. And so true to what's going on at fanboy sites like io9. Jeez, whining about the squidless ending. I always thought that was the weakest part of the gn. The whole end-game scenario was lifted from either a TZ or Outer Limits episode (don't remember which) and, although I accepted it, I remember feeling let down. Most of todays' fanboys have invested a few hours reading the gn. I invested a year, buying each new issue as it came out, and I expected something better.

It was a very subtle jab at the industry and the second rate creators rehashing the same stories again and again. Replace the squid w/ Starro, or Skrulls, or ...
