[SIZE="3"]This morning, after months of wrangling, my agent officially sealed the terms of a 3-book contract to bring Repairman Jack to the young-adult market. Unless your initials are JK or your first name Lemony, the YA market pays considerably less than what I get for adult novels. But I feel if I pass on the offer I will regret it later. I want to do these books. I need to do them. The stories are sitting in my head. I simply have to put them on paper. (“Simply” – hah!)[/SIZE]

Not sure if you've answered this before, but will you fit them into your current schedule, still producing a full fledged RJ novel a year, or will the adult books slow down to allow for these puppy Jack stories?

Geat news indeed. Couple of questions: what age will these books be aimed at? Obviously I'll be buying for myself, but I'm wondering when I can subject my kids to my favourite author. And my neices. And nephews. Question 2: do you know when we can expect the first book? Not that I'm impatient...
