RJ movie wish list - Paige - 10-21-2006 XamberB Wrote:Yes!!! That's exactly how I feel. That's why black & white movies were so much better than movies today. Remember The Third Man? a person after my own heart. i love horror, but I'm not a fan of those gory movies. They don't leave much to the imagination. My imagination is much, much better than anything Hollywood special effects can create. Also, I resent Hollywood assuming I can't visualize my personal terrors. Hollywood substitutes gore for horror. Who can forget the Bates Motel? The same goes for graphic sex scenes. I have a VERY vivid imagination. RJ movie wish list - Kenji - 10-21-2006 XamberB Wrote: Sure. But the movie is made in Hollywood after all. I guess Rakoshi is made by CGI. CGI Rakoshi is still okay, but at least I don't want to see Jack's wire action like Matrix..... RJ movie wish list - Dave F - 10-21-2006 Paige Wrote:I don't think rakoshi should be shown clearly. In fact, in my perfect world, they should be just creepy shadows with a glimmer of claws and teeth. No computer can make a vision scarier than a human mind. I sort of agree with this, until near the end, then I think we should see Jack & scar lip face to face (just remember ripley & the alien) If the CGI is done well this could be awesome RJ movie wish list - Paige - 10-22-2006 XamberB Wrote: i was the weird kid who was eating dinner during x-files autopsy scenes. I think by now, I'm pretty desensitized toward gore. Have you seen "The Others?" There's a good example how horror should be done. I'd like to see some Quisp stuff and other assorted "collectibles" - Daddy Warbucks, etc. It would also be cool, if you can get the movie rights, to see Jack watching some of his favorite movies. Was it his James Whale festival during The Tomb? Maybe a snippet from Frankenstein or Bride of Frankenstein .... "Bride Of Frankenstein" MUST be playing on the TV! RJ movie wish list - Miskatonic & Gin - 10-22-2006 Blake Wrote:I actually liked Scott Glenn as Glaeken. There are huge problems with that movie for us FPW fans, but I don't particularly think the cast is one of them. I don't know what Paul thought of the casting, though. I still think the casting of The Keep was dead on, as was the soundtrack. RJ movie wish list - Miskatonic & Gin - 10-22-2006 1. Abe running a Mother and Son looking for Hockey Gear out of his store. 2. Jack drinks a Rolling Rock. 3. FPW plays Burke. 4. The fix-it from "A Day in the Life..." opening the movie. 5. The movie actually being rated R instead of PG-13 so that the subject matter doesn't have to be toned down. 6. Entire movie filmed in "Smell O' Vision" a la John Waters "Polyester" where audience members are given scratch'n'sniff "Odorama" cards so they can smell the perfume on the mother Rakosh. 7. Either Edward Norton or John Cusack playing Jack. RJ movie wish list - webby - 10-22-2006 Paige Wrote:i was the weird kid who was eating dinner during x-files autopsy scenes. I haven't been interested in "slasher flicks" for a very long time but I do keep an eye out for "real" horror movies that only rarely appear. I think it would be appropriate to film the RJ movie in the style of all those great old horror movies that Jack loves so much. Where the emphasis is on the suspense and the actions/reactions of the characters. CGI raskoshi would be fine if done well, but they shouldn't be the forefront of the story. We shouldn't see them all that clearly until Jack fights the mother rakosh. |
