In the bibliography.

I've culled out all my linking material from the anthology and will, if possible, turn it into a stand-alone novella. "If possible" is the operative concept here. I haven't reread the material yet so I don't know if I can bring it off. But it would be nice to see it on its own.

Was "Freak Show" the one with Ozymandias Prather?

You got it. I folded characters from some of the contributors' short stories into my interstitial material to give the anthology a novelistic feel. I'll have to substitute home-grown characters for those. (Not a big deal.)

I've been digging through old threads and saw this. Paul, is "Freak Show" still going to be part of "Aftershock & Others? FS is one of my favs.

Forgive me if this has been asked and answered recently; I don't remember seeing it.

My material from Freak Show -- retitled "The Peabody-Prather Traveling Circus & Oddity Emporium" -- will be coming out as a stand-alone novella early next year. It's 32k words long (10k of which are new) and has cover and interior illustrations by Caniglia. It will be a limited edition hardcover (frankly, I've gorgotten the limitation # - 500?). I don't want to name the small press until it puts it up for pre-order.

Oh my! That's fabulous. A better answer than I expected. FREAK SHOW is a must for all FPW fans, a must!! With new material and illustrations, I'll be right there.

I've just taken delivery of 'Freak Show' and have only read through the introduction / premise so far, and even that's good. Can't wait to get into it properly!
This new edition sounds 'verrrrrry interesting'. I may well be right there behind you!

I must admit--might be alone in this view--I found some admirable qualities in Oz.

Of course there are. FPW always creates multifaceted characters, and Oz is one of the most interesting. Oz cares for and protects his brothers and sisters of the Otherness and gives them all a better life, with respect, than they had before they joined The Show. But cross Oz or try to hurt one of the members of The Show, and watch out! We got a taste of that in "All The Rage," and we see it in spades in "Freak Show."

But I wonder why the Twins didn't put quietus to Oz and his crew. Surely they knew about him, and it certainly wouldn't have been hard...
