When i first read The Tomb, ( Ive since read it again) I always pictured Abe as Bialistock as played by Zero Mostel (The Producers orginal movie)
Anyone one have hanu other sugestions??

As discussed in the thread Who Will Be Abe the top three Abes would be (in no particualr order) Robbie Coltrane (in his Let It Ride costume), John Goodman (check out post 33 of the thread), or Robin Williams (Take the accent from Jakob the Liar, his body-suit from Mrs. Doubtfire, his attitude towards his customers from Dead Again, his facial-look from August Rush and dress him up in Michael Douglas' wardrobe from Falling Down).
Harvey Fierstein was mentioned early on in that thread but didn't get a lot of support...based on the movie Independaence Day, if I had to choose between Harvey Fierstein or Judd Hirsch, Judd Hirsch Would win hands down. Unfortunately he's too old for the part.
The three from the other thread are all the right relative age. Goodman and Coltrane are the right girth but we don't know how they would do on the accent. Williiams could play fat (Mrs Doubtfire) and can definitely do the jewish accent.
I recommend further discussion on "who would be good to play Abe" use the old thread, where it rightly belongs...it's always good to revive old discussions. I'll post a short message on the old one to bring it back to the top of the Movie and TV board.
