Give me a Cabernet or a Pinot instead any day.I was never much of a wine drinker when I was younger, but I really (and especially) like a good Merlot. ANYTHING from the Nickel & Nickel winery is MOST wonderful and I did have their Cabernet last week in Dallas. Actualy I agree, Pinot is my favorite - particularly a burgundy Also a big fan of Rioja I don't mind cabernet, but I think you really need to pay to get a nice one. I have never tasted a Petrus - an sincerely doubt I ever will, if i was going to splash that much cash - it would be on a really nice Burgundy I really want a bottle of wine now The 5000th Thread - Biggles - 03-01-2007 Britfan Wrote:Actualy I agree, Pinot is my favorite - particularly a burgundy I don't spend too much on a wine. I won't buy rotgut, but I'd rather spend my money on Paul's books, since I'm a "completist nut". The 5000th Thread - Dave F - 03-01-2007 Biggles Wrote:I don't spend too much on a wine. I can recommend some good french & spannish wine producers to look out for if you ever want to try them. Cheers Dave The 5000th Thread - Maggers - 03-01-2007 Congratulations, Paul. Where would we be without you? Well, we wouldn't be here, and I can't think of a more fun place in cyberspace to hang out. In typical fashion, this thread has already evolved into a wine tasting thread. God forbid any of us actually stick to a topic! ![]() |
