The F. Paul Wilson FAQ - Version 2.0 - APhew - 03-07-2005 Marc B. and myself are proud to announce after weeks of backbreaking work the newest version of the F. Paul Wilson FAQ. The main goal of version 2.0 was to make the FAQ completely downloadable. After much discussion which turned into a shouting match and then ended up as an all-out brawl, we decided that the best format for this would be PDF. (actually, it went something like this: Marc: Hey, let's use PDF. Mike: Okay.) We know that PDF isn't the most popular format with all of you, but the positives outweighed the negatives and this is what we decided to go with. Please give us feedback, good or bad, and we will consider it for future revisions of the FAQ. Okay, I'll stop typing now, here's the link: http://webpages.charter.net/mjturman/fpwfaq/index.htm The F. Cut and paste for now, we'll get it figured out. We'll have version 2.1 (now with working links!) out in no time. Wait, I just opened it up with the new Adobe Reader 7.0 and the links work! So if you upgrade to the latest I guess everything works okay. The F. Paul Wilson FAQ - Version 2.0 - APhew - 03-07-2005 KRW Wrote:For some reason mine is kinda screwed up with my acrobat reader. I just tried it on my work machine that's running the new 7.0 and it seems to work fine on that too. You might consider upgrading to the 7.0. The F. Paul Wilson FAQ - Version 2.0 - Marc - 03-08-2005 This is all very strange considering I used Adobe Acrobat 6.0 to make the PDF. Version 6 should work fine. I'll look into it though and see what's up. I (and I'm sure Aphew) want to make this as compatible as possible. The F. Paul Wilson FAQ - Version 2.0 - Marc - 03-08-2005 Okay... I built a new version of the FAQ (version 2.0.1) which should be backwards compatible with Adobe Reader 5 and later. Aphew will be posting it sometime later today. Sorry about the confusion and delay. The F. Paul Wilson FAQ - Version 2.0 - Keith the Elder - 03-08-2005 A most excellent document. Congratulations on your hard work Keith the elder The F. Paul Wilson FAQ - Version 2.0 - Blake - 03-08-2005 Cool. I'll admit to being skeptical about using PDF instead of HTML for a FAQ, but the PDF looks professional in a way that HTML just wouldn't. Nice job. Blake |
