Help! What's a PX? (Crisscross question) - dejo - 12-17-2004 Crisscross, Friday, Chapter 1 (page 248 in my hardcover edition). Luther Brady says "He and his corrupted PX...". What's a PX? Couldn't find this acronym in the Dormentalism initials "cheat sheet" in the first Monday's Chapter 3 (and I don't remember running into it before, not that my memory is that great). Help! Neither is mine, but it refers to one's Personal Xelton. (For not knowing that you are designated LFA until the end of the year.) Help! What's a PX? Yeah, that's what I thought until I read the full question. Now I have a question about pronunciation. Xelton? Like "Zelton?" I hope. X= Z in pronunciation, except in Spanish. Please don't tell me it's pronounced the way so many New Yorkers pronounce "Xavier." And I don't mean the Spanish version. NY'ers pronounce "Xavier" "eX-avier" like "x-ray." Hate that. Xavier was my dad's middle name, and he always prounounced it as "Zavier," like "xylophone" is "zylophone." Aside: Xylophone reminds me of the time, long ago, when my mother sent my father to go Christmas shopping - for the first and last time. She told him to buy a xylophone, and he came home with a glockenspeil. We liked it anyway. ![]() Help! What's a PX? (For not knowing that you are designated LFA until the end of the year.) LFA? Oh no. I now must have a meeting with the FPRB (it's mandatory). I hope I can accept their punishment. I don't want to be designated DD. Perhaps they will ask me to find the first page where PX is mentioned. (Had to do a bit of searching but it's the first Tuesday, Chapter 3, page 97, in case you're wondering). Or maybe they will ask me to create a look up list containing all the wonderful Dormentalist acronyms mentioned in the Crisscross text for inclusion in the Compendium thread. That would take a bit of time but I'm willing... Help! What's a PX?
