Re-reading Gateways... - Maggers - 12-06-2004 ***SPOILER ALERT*** **** GATEWAYS SPOILER ALERT**** *** SPOILER ALERT FOR GATEWAYS**** I just finished GATEWAYS for the first time. I loved it! I finished it and yelled "Thank you, Paul" out loud! FPW, did you hear it? Did you feel a psychic nudge around 9:00 PM on Sunday, Dec. 5? I'm loving the incorporation of the chew wasps, a very NIGHTWORLD phenomenon, into the RJ novels. Makes me wonder if NIGHTWORLD will undergo any revisions to add references to RJ's adventures that hadn't existed, at least on the printed page, when NIGHTWORLD was first published. Did anyone notice that Ralph (is that the name of his corvair?) is gone in Conspiracies and returns in Night World? I have not read the rest of the RJ series, so I don't know if he gets his old Corvair back, but I could swear I remember him having it in Night World. Any input?? -Rip Re-reading Gateways... - Maggers - 12-06-2004 the Oracle Wrote:Speaking of Night World updates... Re-reading Gateways... - Sangwyn - 12-07-2004 Spoiler Space Minor Spoiler Space Etc. There are going to have to be a whole lot of minor revisions in NightWorld. Ralph is one of them. Knowing who Sal Roma really is, another. Having seen him face to face at least twice at this point, knowing about the Otherness, knowing about Glaeken, knowing that he is a warrior in a battle--I imagine that the first meeting between our two intrepid heroes is going to be significantly different, for example. His knowledge about the war even existing will change the timbre of things, for sure. Re-reading Gateways... - fpw - 12-08-2004 Sangwyn Wrote:Spoiler Space I have a lot of work ahead of me. Other than to describe his looks, mundane cannot be used in a sentence with RJ.
