THE KEEP (new edition) - fpw - 11-07-2010 Here's a peek at the cover of the trade paperback edition. This is my first look and I've gotta say I'm annoyed with that solitary figure in the circle. Really, I know they're trying to link it to the Jack series, but that's not appropriate. THE KEEP (new edition) - gfMakarov - 11-07-2010 The picture they have of the Castle is nothing like the "Keep" discribed in the text either. But still good to see the older books coming back around. -George THE KEEP (new edition) - Alvin Fox - 11-07-2010 Reborn and The Touch doesn't have the solitary figure in a circle, why should this one? The background in the circle also looks really bright, like a modern city. THE KEEP (new edition) - The Mad American - 11-07-2010 Yeah that cover looks like a Jack cover not the cover for The Keep. As you stated I am sure it is being used to link it to the Jack series but come on! The solitary figure doesn't seem to fit, unless you simply consider it an FPW trademark. Maybe it could be considered your collective self. Well, that's your "brand", Paul... THE KEEP (new edition) - somevelvetmorning - 11-07-2010 is this edition revised at all? Maybe if they had used a silhouette of a big guy rowing a boat... maybe. I agree the graphic they chose to use is wrong. It's misleading. It would be like naming a book The Tomb when there is no tomb in it. Oh, wait... Well, fine then. Apparently publishers are not bound by any rules of logic whatsoever. quigglemouth: THE KEEP (new edition) - Ken Valentine - 11-08-2010 fpw Wrote:Here's a peek at the cover of the trade paperback edition. Someone in the marketing department ought to have his/her poetic license revoked. My favorite cover is (what I believe to be) the original paper back cover. And even that could have been done better -- the "crosses" should look like what's in the novel, and the stones in the doorway of the Keep should be shaped differently. (If a real stone building was constructed like that, it would collapse almost immediately.) Aside from that, it's still my favorite cover for that novel. Ken V.
