LaNague on Kindle - fpw - 03-23-2010

KINDLE has just issued all the LaNague Federation fiction - 5 novels and 5 bonus short stories - in Kindle format. This is the first time everything LaNague has been in print at once. They're priced low ($2.99) to spread the laissez-faire gospel. Here's a link to the press release: http://tinyurl.com/y98sk7z

Just bought my copy of Dydeetown World. A print copy has been impossible to find.

To supplement the "if you don't have a Kindle" piece. It's (somewhat) official: the Kindle app (wherein are already quite a few of the Repairman Jack novels) is coming to the iPad. Woot.

I got an email from L. Neil Smith on this topic yesterday, it read:

My long-time friend and award-winning, bestselling author F. Paul Wilson has embarked upon a daring and wonderful experiment, part of a movement that will very likely change the nature of the relationship between writers and readers forever. See the following link

for more details. I also plan to discuss this in the next issue of _The Libertarian Enterprise_, and on my blog at BigHeadPress.

LaNague on Kindle - Yeratel - 03-26-2010

Just finished Dydeetown World, so I'll be downloading The Tery next, and then I'll have completed the La Nague series.

LaNague on Kindle - fscam2007 - 03-29-2010

I just purchased the LaNague Foundation novels on my Kindle; however, I'm confused about the reading order. What's posted on Amazon is different from the copyright dates as well as Wilson's website.

Does anyone know if there is a preferred order of a reading?

Thanks,
Cynthia

I read them as I found them but in The LaNague Chronicles, they were all collected and according to the chronology listed there it goes:

"Lipidleggin'"
An Enemy Of The State
Dydeetown World
The Tery
Healer I
"To Fill The Sea and Air"
Healer II
"The Man With The Anteater"
Healer III
"Higher Centers"
Wheels Within Wheels
"Ratman"
Healer IV
Healer V

I don't know if the Kindle supplied the short stories or not, but I believe that most of them can be found in Soft And Others. I hope this helps and welcome to the fray.

All the short stories are in the Kindle editions. The Roman numerals after Healer above refer to the sections of the novel (which spans 1200 years). The Tery and Dydeetown World have no particular order in relation to each other but The Tery should be read before you start Healer.
