I apologize if this has already been covered, but is there a planned reprint of the Keep in the works. Or will the original at least be rereleased. It's a tough book to find these day.

Thanks in advance for your help,

Brian

Welcome to the board Brian.

You might try looking for it on abebooks.com.

They have 162 copies listed, ranging in price from $3.64 for a used paperback to $1,150.68 for what looks like the graphic novel.

From Twitter yesterday:

"F. Paul Wilson
just learned that THE KEEP will have a trade paperback edition in 2010, matching THE TOUCH, REBORN, and the coming REPRISAL. Neat."

So I'd say there's one coming, but there are also copies on Ebay and other sources if you want one now.

Welcome!

I wonder what makes the graphic novel so expensive? That has to be a mistake.

Could be. Especially when you see the same graphic novel (#36) going used for $2.83.

They've let the mmpb edition run out to create a market for the tpb.

Over the years I've purchased every old and new copy of the pb version of The Keep at thrift shops to sell on ebay. Never got around to it. Before Christmas break let out a number of weeks ago, I asked my SAT students to select a genre and that I would give them a book in the genre for Christmas. Five students selected Vampires or Monsters; two selected nonfiction. To the latter I gave a copy of Stupid American History, a fun book that derails American myths about historical icons. To the former group I gave them each a copy of The Keep. I told them that the book may or may not be suitable for 12-13 year olds, but I was sure they would be able to enjoy it. I tried to remember how "adult" the reading was, but couldn't remember anything traumatic. After the students finished taking their practice SAT test, they used the remaining time to start reading their books. They were mesmerized. I hope I brought some new fans into the fold. I also hope I don't get any complaints from parents. Smile

P.S. For Christmas Eve I showed WC Fields movies to the nephews and nieces. They liked the physical humor, but the play on words went over their heads. For Thanksgiving we introduced them to The Three Stooges. Curly was a hit. Nyuk, nyuk, nyuk. New Year's Eve: The Marx Brothers.

That's good to hear, Antoine. Let us know what they thinks after they finish.

Thanks for all of the info. I read the Keep (and all of the books in the series) several years ago then probably donated the paperback to the library. With Repairman Jack winding down, I wanted to go back and reread them all. I got the Touch and Reborn for Christmas but no Keep. Good to know it's coming back out.
