Second YA Book? - Steve_M - 09-03-2008

I just re-read the recent newsletter, and there doesn't seem to be any timetable for publication of the second YA book (next in line after Secret Histories). Am I missing something, or has that book's publication date not yet been set?

Looks like it will be early 2010. I've written drafts of the 2nd and 3rd books, but my editor thinks the book I wrote as #3 will be stronger as #2. I wasn't sure, but I played around with it and I think she's right. So I'm going to have to do a rewrite after I finish RJ-13. This means I'll miss the window for 2009 publication. I'm not happy with that, and the editor would like it out sooner as well, but that's how publishing is these days...a loooong pipeline.[/SIZE]

But we have RJ-13 to see us through. Smile

I've asked my friends in the Juvie department to keep SECRET HISTORIES on the NEW! wall display. And whaddaya know? Sold a copy on Saturday!
