Biggest Fan Poll! - Marc - 03-18-2004 Okay... here are the people I know have more then enough of FPW books. So, who do you think has the most FPW books? You choose! Biggest Fan Poll! - Lisa - 03-18-2004 I'm going to go with Aphew here, because he collects all those magazines and stuff. It's a close call, though, because FPW has all those foreign editions. Edited to add: Although I must say, Scott's and Brett's collections are very impressive! Lisa Biggest Fan Poll! - Dave - 03-18-2004 I'm going with The Man, there is no way the others could even conceive what he has on his ego shelf, is my guess. And he didn't have to pay one iota for any of them. Money, I mean, not blood, sweat, or tears, which may have been a far costlier thing. I'll shut up now. Dave Biggest Fan Poll! - Scott Hajek - 03-18-2004 I voted for Aphew. I am merely a humble collector. I figure that he has a greater collection of the items listed in the bibliography. I'm just trying to get all of the fiction and not going out of my way (or into debt) to get the interviews, introductions, etc. It'd be fun trying, though. Biggest Fan Poll! - APhew - 03-18-2004 There is no way I own more than the man. Yes, I have tons of the little stuff (like those "From the Tunnel" articles that took me forever to find until I was blessed with them), but I'm sure he's got a couple bookcases full compared my lonely one. I was going to make this part of a trivia contest later, but I can always come up with other questions. For you collectors out there... what is my Avatar a picture of? What is it's significance? F. Paul, you can't play. Biggest Fan Poll! - jimbow8 - 03-18-2004 APhew Wrote:what is my Avatar a picture of? What is it's significance? F. Paul, you can't play.IT looks like a magazine (MYSTERY) cover, but it is too small to make out any more than that. Biggest Fan Poll! - Lisa - 03-18-2004 Maybe it has FPW's first published story? I have no idea; that's just a guess (and probably a lousy one, since I think his first published story was SF and that magazine says "Mystery" on the front). Lisa Biggest Fan Poll! - Matthew Smith - 03-18-2004 If I'm not mistaken, it's the cover to Startling Mystery Stories #18. Which would make it the first appearance of F. Paul Wilson's "Cleaning Machine", his first published story. --Matthew Biggest Fan Poll! - fpw - 03-18-2004 Speaking of collecting, a new bibliography was included with the site revamp. It includes stories and books appearing later this year. FPW Biggest Fan Poll! - APhew - 03-19-2004 Matthew Smith Wrote:If I'm not mistaken, it's the cover to Startling Mystery Stories #18. Lisa, have confidence! |
