Question about Bloodline (spoilers) - Logan - 06-18-2008 I guess there are spoilers for "The Tomb" also....scroll down I've read both recently and I noticed a kind of connection. In "The Tomb" Kolabati explains to Jack that there were stories long ago about humans mating with the Rakoshi. And in "Bloodlines" it is mentioned that whatever caused the oDNA parted from the human time line a long time ago and was incorporated back in it. Could mating with Rakoshi in the first age be directly responsible for oDNA? (we've seen what happens when Rakoshi blood is taken as a drug ie. "All The Rage") I know this is an odd question but it would explain the origins of oDNA. I had a theory about the common ancestor, too, it being that the Q're(or the kicker) was the common ancestor. But I like your's much better, for it explains why Jack had that dream in Conspiracies, and I didn't actually mean to type that, but it makes sense! He IS there brother, because he has so much oDNA! Also, why Jack was able to beat them. But Rasalom said he was there when they were made, so where they made to mingle with the humans, or what? You raise a lot of good questions, I can only speculate. For starters, Kolabati said the rakoshi were humans, only stripped of everything good and descent. She was trying to explain to Jack the "how" behind the mating of Kusum and the mother when Jack brought up the question about different (or other) species breeding. It will be interesting to see what an oDNA loaded baby will become, won't it? It will be interesting to see what an oDNA loaded baby will become, won't it? With my old theory, I thought it would be born as a baby with 4 arms and an oddly diamond-shaped head. Now I think it will become a blue-ish thing with sharp teeth and yellow eyes. But(another new thought) what if the Rakoshi and the humans share a common ancestor, the Q're(this IS its name, right?), and the Q're it the evil, and mated with something good, bearing the so-so human race, then mated with something evil and blue(most likely another unspeakable creature from the Otherness), and produced the Rakoshi. Then mating between humans and Rakoshi would still make sense, and it would explain why humans with high oDNA were niot tinted blue. I believe Rasalom was there for the birth of them using part of himself to create them. I think I read that in "Conspirecies".......... The Q'qr were retrofitted humans. I just got where "kicker" came from. It is how you pronounce Q'qr. Well, I feel kinda dumb. So, do the rakashi and the humans and the Q'qr share a common ancestor? Do we know of it yet? Question about Bloodline (spoilers) - Dave - 06-19-2008 Libby Wrote:Do we know of it yet? Those that have read By The Sword do Dave |
