Heroes - fpw - 11-16-2007

Started the boxed set of the series Monday night and have seen ten episodes. Love it. What a daring show and what a fabulous cast. Whoever cast Masi Oka as Hiro is a freakin genius.

Good to hear; it's next for me after I wrap up The Sopranos.

Heroes - Marc - 11-16-2007

First season was very good except for the finale. Fell a little flat for me. The new season has been pretty weak though. I'm almost glad it's ending early this season.

Heroes - Weatherford - 11-16-2007

Agree re last season!! Also agree re the only one I've seen so far this season... Sad

Though the last episode was a nice way to tie up the season finale.

Just put myself in antiacidville (but the joy!!!) by ordering the entire Sherlock Holmes DVD box set starring Basil Rathbone and Nigel Bruce along with "Night Gallery" set. Now only have to find the time to watch all this stuff.....

Yeah. Last week should have been the first episode this year, then they should have moved on. This year has been sort of dull.

But I agree with the comments above about Hiro. There was this one time in season one when his "future self" comes to the past to deliver what I think is the original "save the cheerleader" warning and he looks absolutely ominous. Not the little-kiddish type of Hiro at all.

Yeah, Hiro is great. He's definitely my favorite character. I seem to be smiling every time he's on the screen. Smile

I also was let down by the season finale last year - maybe because I expected it to be something truly phenomenal, so I set my expectations too high. It seemed like they'd been building up to this all year, and then the resolution was just rushed together in the last 10 minutes of the last show.

I also was bummed by the number of characters that were bumped off at the end of last year and early this year. I won't mention any names here, but I thought that the series lost some of the power that it had in the first year with the demise of some of these characters.

As for this year, I've been enjoying Heroes, though not as much as last year. Although, I did love that knock-out surprise when Adam showed up!

Heroes - Kenji - 11-16-2007

HEROES is broadcasting on "Super! Drama TV", but it's analog cable, so I can't watch it. But my friend have a cable channel. So I'll see them someday.

I'm looking forward to it! Smile

Heroes - beowulf - 11-16-2007

I've been in love with this show from day one. A program of this sort was a long time coming. A hard, gritty, real life look at people with super powers. its not all spandex, capes and phone booths!
