Locations Jack should vist - Legion - 11-14-2007 Was thinking of different locations Jack could/would pay a visit. It’s always fun to see Jack out of his usual surroundings. Here is what I came up with. Opinions? Different Ideas? Philadelphia - His brother was from there. Throw in our seemingly never ending crime wave, the many famous and historical locations, the flood of New Yorkers and NYC-Yuppie-wannabes that have taken over where the ghetto element hasn’t and I think it would be a good match. Las Vegas – Its Vegas! So many people, very few of them residents, so nobody is going to remember what Jack looks like ( even less than usual), so many lights, sights and sounds. Plus Jack could take in a show (since as we’ve now learned he is a Musical aficionado). And I know from personal experience, the desert which surrounds that city is one of the most diverse and dangerous environments in this country. Think Casino with Rakashi. It would also be another chance for Jack to deal with UFO enthusiasts and Conspiracy theorists. I would die to see Jack meet Jerry from Conspiracy Theory. Both reside in NYC after all. Locations Jack should vist - Barry Lee Dejasu - 11-15-2007 Boston, and Providence - two cities with many old and archaic histories. I mean, hel-LO, Edgar Allen Poe and H. P. Lovecraft respectively called them home...plenty of Otherness running about in the shadows. Locations Jack should vist - Kenji - 11-15-2007 Japan! I wish he visit Japan in next RJ novel. I'll be in Utah in March and am planning on researching the desert as another fish-out-of-water locale for Jack. That doesn't mean I'll definitely write the story, just something to add to the hopper. Locations Jack should vist - Ken Valentine - 11-15-2007 fpw Wrote:Funny you should say thet. All very iffy right now. Locations Jack should vist - GeraldRice - 11-15-2007 Where were the brothers from in The Haunted Air? Livonia or something like that? I don't care which, it'd be interesting (to me) if Jack came to Michigan. Maybe Jimmy Hoffa is connected to the Otherness and Jack has to get a piece of him out of the Renaissance Center or the Silverdome. And he could catch a musical at the Masonic for WAY cheaper than you'd pay in NYC. Locations Jack should vist - webby - 11-16-2007 There is an underground storage and business district in Kansas City, known locally as "The Caves". Sounds like an interesting place for a Jack adventure to me. Locations Jack should vist - RichE - 11-16-2007 I'd like to see Jack, Abe and Julio end up in, of all places, RED BANK NJ. My wife and I love the town. Also, for those sharp eyed film fans of the Vincent Price film "The Tingler", that was the town named where the Judith Evelyn's character was born (as written on the death cert. in the famous bathroom scene). Locations Jack should vist - tenebroust - 11-16-2007 I think it would be cool if Jack visited the Pine Barrens, home of the Jersey Devil (and subject of the story "The Barrens") maybe even have him meet a certain Mr. Creighton, come back from beyond the veil?, as well as Point Pleasant WV, home of the Mothman. Nothing screams otherness more than the Mothman in my view, creepy as hell. |
