Welcome to the club. Sounds like you got a bad case of Wilsonitis. The only cure is to read them all, reread them and start getting everyone you know hooked.

I'm a fan of the four-color world myself. What titles are you collecting?

ImDeranged Wrote:Hi everyone, this is my first post so I'll start w/ how I found RMJ. I work in a bookstore and for a little over a year I had a customer/friend come in and ask about when the next book was coming out. He started describing the character to me. Anti-government, wants to stay out of paper trails, fix-it man... Repairman Jack. All I could think of was Robert DeNiro in Brazil. I'd look at the books occasionally and think I have to get one someday. But as anyone who works in a bookstore knows if you buy a book you have a stack at home to read first.
Then came the $4.99 version of The Keep. I thought I'll give it a try. Read it... Loved it... Bought the Borderlands version the day after I finished it. Along w/ Rakoshi. (So Paul just so you know you never wrote a book called The Tomb, you wrote Rakoshi and you have at least one fan who only knows and read it by that title) I saved that one for a while, again stack of books from work. I finally read it about two months ago and haven't stopped since.
I'm up to Gateways and would be farther along but I've stopped and read all of the LaNague books, Soft & Others, and just finished The Touch.
The obsession kicked in to overdrive last month when I started buying the Gauntlet editions off ebay. And others off abesbooks.com. I can't wait to get home lately to see if I have a new purchase waiting for me at the door. I love how there are connections everywhere. So between the Gauntlet Versions, Borderlands, Overlook editions Do-Gooder print, and just about everything else I can find it looks like I've spent a little over a thousand. D'uh.
So I repeat $4.99 was not a bargain. At least not financially...intellectually and entertainment wise it has been priceless. If I haven't heaped enough praise yet, I'll finish by saying I just got my shipment of new comic books in today. Two weeks worth and I went to add them to the pile that I haven't read yet. I noticed it's now two months deep. So after I read Rakoshi it's been one FPW book after another without even a pause for the four-color world.

Jeff B.

I'll come up w/ another quote later but for this first post I have to go w/ "Value received for value given" -FPW first used in Healer, later used in The Haunted Air.

Welcome to the board, Jeff! Smile

Welcome to the board and years of:

addiction
poverty
& some of the finest fiction you will ever read

I can strongly recomend heading to Ebay to pick up the non RMJ / adversary cycle books as well

You may not enjoy everyone, but I would guess you will enjoy the vast majority
