LaNague - sublime1983 - 07-03-2007

(Until I looked it up to type this post I had been pronouncing it "LaNangue")

Has F. Paul had any talks about adding on to this? I haven't finished the Chronicles, yet, but he created one heck of a galaxy with all sorts of directions anyone could go.

I'm on Wheels within Wheels (or something like that) and this is the only story I've had to skip around on. I just can't get into the characters like I had with Pete LaNague and the Healer. I find the flashbacks with Jr. are the most entertaining.

Anyways, I just thought that this would be a cool storyline to pick up with again. Like, explain what LaNague did afterwards, or, how the universe got to where it was during the Healer books.

If I recall correctly, FPW has stated in the past that he likely will not be revisiting LaNague, at least directly (some of his later SF contains oblique mentions or connections to it). It's too bad because the LaNague stuff is my favorite. *dramatic sigh*

I'd love to see a bunch of "Pards" in a story....that would be neat!

I'd love to see more as well. I re-read the chronicles once a year, probably. Paul, you need to clone yourself so we get RJ, Young RJ, and LaNague as well (is that selfish thinking Big Grin ).

I thought cloning was outlawed in the series Wink

Did anyone else write stories using his premise? It seems there are a lot of holes perfectly sized for new books. Instead of the LaNague Chronicles, it could be the LaNague Universe.

FPW, is there any reason why you won't write anymore LaNague books? Like people have said, there is a whole universe to tap into, and write stories about.

That world is simply no longer on my radar. I'm now doing 2 books a year in Jack's world. No room for Peter's.

Yeah, I think we are going to need you to up your pace. Perhaps a good starting rate is a book per month.
