The finalists in the Best Novel category of this year's Prometheus
Award, for the best pro-freedom novel of 2006 are:
* Empire, by Orson Scott Card (TOR Books)
* The Ghost Brigades, by John Scalzi (TOR Books)
* Glasshouse, Charles Stross (Penguin Group)
* Rainbows End, by Vernor Vinge (TOR Books)
* Harbingers, by F. Paul Wilson (FORGE)

I don't see Harbingers as particularly libertarian (in its protagonist, yes, but not much else), and I already have 4 Promethei, so I'll be happy to see a more deserving title win.

Even so, you know there are more than a few sets of fingers crossed for you. Congrats!

Prometheus finalist - Lisa - 03-25-2007

Wow, TOR is very libertarian. Wink

I like your use of "Promethei" as well. Big Grin

Lisa's right about TOR! 3 out of 5 are theirs.

Sorry, but I'm going to root for you no matter what!

Just curious, have you read any of the other books? Maybe they aren't terribly libertarian either.

Susan

That's great! I wish you win the Prometheus Award. Well, you will. (I've never read other four author's books, though....)

My fingers are crossed for you.

You show your gracious nature in saying that, Paul, but the $1,000,000 prize is nothing to sneeze at.

No doubt, one for the thumb. Good luck.
