Goodbye Peter Boyle - Scott Miller - 12-13-2006

I see that Peter Boyle has left us, may his rest be Super-Duper.

Goodbye Peter Boyle - Maggers - 12-13-2006

Awww, no. I'll miss him. I always enjoyed his performances, particularly in "Young Frankenstein," and, of course, the TV series "Everybody Loves Raymond."

Goodbye Peter Boyle - jimbow8 - 12-13-2006

I liked him a lot in The Dream Team as well. And Frank on Raymond will be a classic.

R.I.P. Mr Boyle.

Goodbye Peter Boyle - mitch - 12-14-2006

Peter Boyle truly had a special ability to make people laugh. He will be sorely missed.

Goodbye Peter Boyle - Kenji - 12-14-2006

I can't believe he died. I'm still watching "Everybody Loves Raymond". I don't know which season though. But I'm enjoying it everyday.

R.I.P.....Sad

Goodbye Peter Boyle - NewYorkjoe - 12-14-2006

The first time I remember Peter Boyle was when he was lead in a movie called "Joe" (for obvious reasons). He played a hippie-hating, blue-collar, repressed sociopath (and he did it really, really well). There was a sequel (Joe II) I found out recently, but it never got the run of the original.

Peter was also part of a traveling company that included Jane Fomda, Donald Sutherland, et. al. called F.T.A.* (which stood for F_ck the Army, let this one pass, Bluesman Wink ).

Seemingly, he came to the acting profession late in life, but he really made up for lost time. He is missed!

Goodbye Peter Boyle - Tony H - 12-14-2006

Such a sad bit of news indeed.

RIP Peter Boyle.

I first saw him in "Outland" with Sean Connery.

He had range.

Hey Joe, you didn't happen to name youself after that character, did you? You both seem to share several qualities.Big Grin I wonder if it's available. Sounds like a good flick.

I WAS a hippie (or, at least a hippie-wannabe. Back then, conservatives didn't get laid much Wink )!

Theme from "Joe"

"Hey, Joe!
Why'd we ever go to war, before?
Hey, Joe!"
"Why'd we ever go to war, before?
What the Hell for?"

"I got to work on Thursday,
Got to make me some overtime . . ."

I never kill anyone who don't need it, deserve it, or ask for it. Them's my rules. Just as some people brighten a room with their departure, so others improve the gene pool once they've been beached.Wink
