Infernal ..... POSSIBLE SPOILERS AHEAD!!!!! - kurrgan - 09-07-2006 Just finished Infernal yesterday. Next up ..... Harbingers ..... *****POSSIBLE SPOILER ALERT***** Every time i finish an RJ Novel i find myself saying it was the best one yet. Conclusion ..... they are all the best one. I loved how Infernal picked up the relationship with the estranged Jack and his crooked Brother. A nice twist, like the jacket says, how Jack a career criminal actually has significantly higher moral standards than his Brother. II loved what was done with them though i didn't like Daddy Jack dying before he could get me in some good tax shelters and such. Gia and Vicky are amazingly awesome as usual and as it gets closer to ba by time and Bloodline, i wonder what is in store next for RJ. I can't wait to find out for sure and until Harbingers arrives i am going to have itchy fingers. *****END POSSIBLE SPOILER***** One interesting thing about the RJ Series is it appeals to some of my baser elements, the idea we have all probably had and entertained about living off the grid, not beiong official, being mysterious and moving through a red tape world with relative anonymity. I get so into it. I find myself going to places that require signatures and signing false names, giving fake addresses, relegating myself to being more quiet and seeing how i can blend both in and out of social type situations without being noticed. Being a large man of six four it is kind of hard but believe it or not i can get it done, sometimes!!!!! Ive sat at my keyboard as i work on my first novel and wonder what other ways there might be to create false identities and disappear so to speak. I have even tried to find and devise ways for Jack's return to officialdom. Okay, ive rambled on enough for now. Have a great day guys ..... Infernal ..... As far as I've heard, most governments got in a hurry after it's release to cover up the holes in their systems regarding this specific novel. Nevertheless, in modern days in Europe (due to the "Schengen"-treaty (?)) most of the effort wouldn't be worth it, as you can move quite freely between scandinavia, germany, BeNeLux, france, Spain, Portugal, Austria, Italy ... I don't know about the UK. But, nevertheless, the "day of the jackal" is still a great read ... Infernal .....
