The Christmas Thingy - Maggers - 12-07-2005
I was about to go online to order "The Chrismas Thingy," when I got a call to pick up a package at the UPS Store. I wondered what it was; I hadn't ordered anything. I was stunned to see "The Christmas Thingy" inside, inscribed by FPW to a young friend of mine. I totally forgot I'd ordered it.
I'm nothing if not consistent.
I'd never read it. Great little book and the illustrations are lovely. Well done, Paul!

The same thing happened to me with my inscribed Forge copy of Infernal. It had been months since I ordered it. I'm glad I didn't pick one up at the book store too.

I ordered a pair from Shocklines, but I'm not sure when to expect them. One of them was for our niece and we're celebrating Christmas with them on the 19. Hopefully they'll come by then. The other is for me, of course! I haven't read it yet either and I'm excited.

I got The Christmas Thingy in the mail today as well, and am expecting something else from Shocklines to be coming soon. I can't wait to read The Christmas Thingy! Its gorgeous.

What I liked most about "The Christmas Thingy" is the not-so-standard head shot of the author, the very young author...like about 10. Really cute.
