Although not an actor, KRW's dad would make a good Tom.

Ken - who might make a good Abe if he put on about 70 pounds - V.

That he would. I told him you said that and he said he is much better looking and a better shot so he couldn't play him!Big Grin

Just to be clear, I meant Tom (Jack's dad) In Gateways.

Which "he" is better looking and a better shot? Your dad, or Jacks dad? Big Grin

Your dad is one of those lean rangy men who looks like his muscles are made of steel cable.

Kinda like RJ, and very likely his dad as well.

I’m not sure if he’s been suggested before, but how about Ryan Reynolds? I know he’s mostly known for his comedic roles, but most comics actors seem like they can pull off a darker tone when given a chance. He gives off that kind of scruffy New Yorker vibe, and looked pretty buff in Blade Trinity.

Edward Norton IS Jack for me. I always pictured Abe as kind of looking like Rob Reiner although I guess I could also see him as Mel Brooks.

I think FPW said that when he wrote the character of Abe, he had envisioned Jack Weston.

And welcome to the board.

Perhaps Wentworth Miller or Dominic Purcell from Prision Break- that's who the fellow resembles on the book jackets!

Lately I've been leaning toward Desmond Harrington. I know he's a tad young, but even since I've seen him in some god-forgotten episode of L&O:CI, I just can't seem to get him (as Jack) out of my head.

Hmm, perhaps he's good. He was in "Ghost ship" and " Joan of Arc", but I don't remember him. :p

That isn't necessarily true either. Granted, many women yearn for the deweyness of their youth, but a woman who stays healthy -- even if she may put on a few pounds -- and stands tall, remains good looking as she ages, just as you believe men do.
