Ryan Reynolds Will Play Jack - Maggers - 09-19-2007

Biggles Wrote:I just read Bones Weep Tedium's post on this. It was quite witty. If your double entendre was intentional, it was both masterful and amusing; if it was inadvertant, then it was probably twice as amusing. Now, which was it?

As an aside, I suppose that only actors would want to be known for "tiny but memorable parts". Sorry, I just couldn't leave it alone. Bad Biggles! Evil, naughty, despicable Biggles <he says as he slaps himself>.

Completely unintentional! OMG, how could I have not picked that up. Yikes, even that sentence is bringing me into dangerous territory. All I can say is that I've been febrile over the past couple of days so the old brain is not at its best.

I have the suspicion that Ryan Reynolds, strapping young man that he is, has memorable parts of his own that are far from tiny. Big Grin His ROLE in "Dick" was small and put him on my radar early on in his career.

The moral of this story is don't write posts when you're running a fever.

Or if his "memorable parts" are making you feverish.

I'm sure that if you were at 100% you would have picked up on the multiple possible meanings of your post. Now, if one of us guys had done that inadvertently, we would have taken credit for it: "Yeah, man. Nice use of Double Entendre. Gimme five, dudes." Big Grin

Will he still look tough without his beard? BTW, the Longhorn belt buckle should squash all quips about his "small, but memorable roles." Rolleyes

To me, the beard just makes his face look dirty.

He's a great choice to play Jack. Also has enough star power to keep the whole shebang from falling in on itself. I have a couple of questions about the movie and hope someone can answer them so I don't have to reread the endless previous thread.

1. Is the story going to be from The Tomb or is it more of a compilation of all the Jack stuff from all the books?

2. Is it going to be set in NYC or are they going to go somewhere thats cheaper to film?

3. Who's going to play Gia and does she get killed off?

If anyone can help, Thanks.
