Yep. They never collapse the suspension, bend the chassis, tear loose the engine and transmission mounts, or blow out the tires . . . and the drivers never have a back ache after these hard landings.

Also, in the Swashbuckler movies, when the hero leaps from a two or three story building onto the back of his trusty steed, he never breaks the horses back . . . or collapses his own spine.

Not to mention the trauma to his "package"! LOL
I'm not sure if this is a cliche or not, but it bothers me. It happens on TV dramas like Law & Order, Without a Trace, etc. The cops or investigators go to somebody's workplace to ask them questions and the people keep walking and doing their work as they answer questions. This especially happens when they are interviewing doctors. The doctor keeps walking through the hospital while the cops tag along. It totally annoys me! In real life people would stop what they're doing if a cop came to their workplace. Argh!

That's true -- unless they're scrubbing for surgery or some such. And in that case, I'm sure that the cops would be asked to come back later.

P.S. When fire inspectors come to my shop on a surprise visit, I tell them that I don't talk to anyone without an appointment. (They're such morons.)

My personal favorite is when the hero runs along the top of a boxcar without falling off or getting creamed by a tunnel. Then, when they jump off a train doing 50 mph, they just roll over a few times and get up. In real life I think you'd be looking at major trauma.

It seems to me that gravity is essentially meaningless to movie makers.
People spring from one rooftop to another with aplomb regardless of the space between the buildings. They can fall from high cliffs into water and not feel the impact (forget about underwater debris as someone mentioned previously). Essentially, they can fall from anywhere and just pick themselves up, dust themselves off, and start all over again.
