Heroes - The Mad American - 11-03-2006 Scott Hajek Wrote:Must say, this is becoming one of the better shows on TV. There are so many unanswered questions and new revelations each week. After last weeks episode I am not so sure about the husband being the villain. Seems like it might be the wife, or black out lady or whatever her name is. Its nice that the show keeps you a bit off balance without seeming to go overboard with some of the plot twist to do that. Didn't see the husband/wife thing working out the way it did and didn't see the brothers mimic power at all until it was shown. Maybe I am not paying close enough attention. Either way I like that about the show. Only other show that has done that for me lately is Battlestar Galactica. Heroes - outlanders - 02-28-2007 I'm a bit surprised that no one has commented on the past couple of weeks. Turns out that Peter has potential to be the most powerful of them all, with the exception of Syler. At least Peter doesn't have to kill people to 'inherit' their powers the way Syler does. It was pretty heart-rending to see that the writers killed of Simone (correct spelling I hope). And last night's episode. Freakin' wow! You really got a chance to see HRG and what he's really like. Quite the eye opener, if you ask me. Chris Heroes - Auskar - 02-28-2007 outlanders Wrote:And last night's episode. Freakin' wow! You really got a chance to see HRG and what he's really like. Heroes - SickThing - 02-28-2007 HRG = Horn-rimmed glasses guy (Claire's "father") Heroes - law dawg - 02-28-2007 outlanders Wrote:I'm a bit surprised that no one has commented on the past couple of weeks. So what is Sylar's original power? Like Peter, except he has to kill them? And Simone is still alive, I think. Heroes - outlanders - 03-01-2007 Honestly, I don't know what Syler's original power was. It was never revealed. However, my friends and I were discussing it, and I was always under the assumption that he had to in some way consume a portion of the victim's brain in order to 'absorb' the power. My friend said that maybe he cuts off the top of the head and somehow is able to 'examine' the ability and then imitate it. After all, he was quite meticulous when he was a watchmaker, and obviously had an eye for detail. He does it to see what makes a person 'tick'. Just a thought anyhow. I just had a major catch up session and it seemed quite clear watching them all so close together that Sylar's ability is seeing how things/people work, and he can apply it to himself. Dave Heroes - saynomore - 03-02-2007 This series should have been straight and simple: An origin to superhero series (sans superhero garb). But it seems to have joined the ranks of LOST and PRISON BREAK with its confusing plot development. Hell, but I'm hooked, awaiting the ultimate confrontation between the good guys and bad guys. Now if only I could figure out just who the good and bad guys are, maybe my investment of time in the show would be worth the headache. AC P.S. I did enjoy the George Takai/HRG flashback. And I'm always glad to see Eric Roberts get work. Heroes - Auskar - 03-03-2007 saynomore Wrote:This series should have been straight and simple: An origin to superhero series (sans superhero garb). I always looked at HEROES as something similar to LOST and PRISON BREAK. I quit watching PRISON BREAK pretty early on. I always like Eric Roberts, too. He has also showed up in a couple of episodes of The "L-Word." Heroes - Weatherford - 03-13-2007 Not in Ireland yet, and I can't download the episodes while IN Ireland - but I am in the US right now and watching like mad! Am on episode 6, I think, many many to go! Hopefully, when I am on a really high speed connection (at my mother's house), I will download all and save to disk... I am hooked - and haven't really read this thread so I don't get any spoilers! |
