Scott Miller Wrote:Have you read Freak Show or The Peabody-Ozymandias Traveling Circus and Oddity Emporium? If I'm not mistaken(a distinct possibility)your answer awaits in them.

You do realize that that wasn't Oz showing the "machine", that was his dad that had it dismantled and scattered across the country. Wonder what would have made him do that?Wink

I really liked the way the Mr. Vivino storyline played out. Not just that I agree Jack did the right thing, but that Jack learned even doing the right thing doesn't necessarily result in the standard issue happy-ending.

I like that we saw Jack really thinking about this. This early "fix" is obviously one that is going to be very important in shaping the man we eventually know as Repairman Jack.

And this is a big part of why I like Jack so much. He's not just the typical good guy action hero. He's a complex, complicated guy. How neat for us to get a glimpse at where some of that complexity came from.

Probably a good reason he doesn't like doing domestic disputes. Wink
You make a great point about us getting to know Jack better and the shaping of his future self. There's just too much not to like about this character.

Keep'em coming!!!

(J. Neil) Schulman's Law: Books exceed bookshelves.

(Ward D.) Griffiths' Corollary: Unread books exceed remaining actuarial lifespan.

There was a time when I could have posters on my walls. Nowadays just about every wall that isn't windows (and some that are), including the hallways, is occupied by Ikea Billy-series shelving.

Ditto. I still have many of my old posters. I have absolutely no space to hang them and doubt I ever will, but I can't seem to throw them out.

Could the monster be like the thing Jon Craighton from 'The Barrens' became? When he was swaddled in blankets near his end he had a tentacle like Jack's monster.
