It would tickle me to have my question chosen, plus I'd like to know the answer. Maggers, what was your question, if you don't mind me asking? LOST... the 4th season - Maggers - 04-15-2008 Paul R Wrote:Maggers, what was your question, if you don't mind me asking? I asked if Claire's low tech message to the outside world via carrier pigeon, aka the sea birds who landed on the Island, would ever be received and acted on. I've been fascinated by that episode, called "Par Avion." If that message was found, the Oceanic 6 would be busted, big time. I'd love to see that. I felt that to devote nearly an entire episode to Claire's humble but creative attempt to get them rescued was important. Granted, that episode also was written to set up the denouement to Charlie's unique relationship with Desmond. But the bird message is so simple in its ability to go undetected by Ben or all the other powerful people who want to keep that Island and the fate of the survivors from the world. Also, if something awful happens to Claire, and I suspect it will, then to have her message received would be particularly poignant and fitting. But I know, I know, the LOST writers love to leave questions unanswered and plot lines hanging. Claire's bird message may just be another in a long list. I had forgotten all about that! Something so simple as a message in a bottle. LOST... the 4th season - jimbow8 - 04-15-2008 Paul R Wrote:I think there is supposed to be a super-sized two hour finale. I believe it breaks down like this: new episodes on the April 24, May 1, May 8, May 15 then a week's break then the two hour finale on the 22nd. According to THIS, the two hour "finale" will be on May 29th. I suspect that is what you meant to type. You got me, that is indeed what I meant to type. Thanks. You're right - they would be big-time busted if that note was ever found. At the time, I didn't really consider it a huge plot point but in hingsight, it would be massive. Let us know if they answer it! LOST... the 4th season - metllicamilitia - 04-16-2008 What!? (scroll down to the LOST vid) A two week break in the finale!? They can't do that, that's not cool, I would much rather just have a one night 3 hour episode. Oh well, I guess I'll just have to deal with it. And this make the perfect opportunity to post that vid too lol. LOST... the 4th season - bones weep tedium - 04-17-2008 What?! That reminds me of an Andy Kaufman video I sent to Sorrel yesterday. Senseless repetition for comedic effect. So it's a three hour finale, but split over 2 weeks? That's robbing Peter to pay Paul, isn't it? Why not just say there'll be a 2 week break before the two hour finale? Idiots, to think that I trusted them. LOST... the 4th season - DogWoman - 04-17-2008 bones weep tedium Wrote:What?! I'm sure it has to do with ad sales. Everything on TV has to do with ad sales. And making Lost fans crazy. LOST... the 4th season - ccosborne3 - 04-24-2008 DogWoman Wrote:I'm sure it has to do with ad sales.
